It's truly sad that pretty much no one knows about these books. They are possibly the best books I've read in sixteen years of living. I highly suggest picking them up. The first three books are good, but not amazing. However, as the characters grow and develop, the books get brilliant. By the fourth book, the plot is dark and exciting, the last three books are the best of the series. The characters are compelling and feel very real. A great read, though they are not for everyone, as the books are very dark and complex.
