From Grade-A Youtuber to Under The Radar to Absolute Joke

Back in his heyday, Grade was easily one of my favorite YouTubers that wasn't a Let's Player. Even with his very simplistic stick figure artstyle, his scathing social commentary, comedic timing, and overall charm made me want to watch his videos early and often. However, like many YouTubers that have been uploading for a while and have had real life get in the way of their YouTube channels, Grade's uploading schedule post-2017 was...quite erratic, to say the least. Though a sizable chunk of his fanbase gave up on him (which I honestly can't fault them for, since he can only be on the radar for so long after going dark before he drops off), many other fans (myself included) stuck around, making it all the more surprising (in a good way) when he did upload, and especially when he came back from a long Series Hiatus.

So, when he disappeared for two years, just long enough that I thought he was gone for good and mournfully added a Quietly Cancelled entry to his Trivia page, the shocking reveal came: not only was he back, but he'd planned 40 videos for the coming year! Complete with an extended teaser trailer of sorts that I had to pause multiple times because I was laughing so much! With this in mind, you'd think I'd never stop being a fan of his, right? Well...sadly not.

Though some of his 2024 videos were indeed funny, they just didn't have the same impact that they used to. That combined with the constant forced mid-video adverts for products like NordVPN (which apparently carry risks to your personal data) made me lose a lot of love I once had for him. The final straw that made me pretty much swear off him entirely (only going back to his videos to check the comments of once-loyal fans, which was honestly more enjoyable than some of his videos by this point) was the one-two punch of him coming out as a Trump supporter and making his promised "Donald Trump Roast Video" nothing but a meatriding fest of the guy (something that even disappointed fellow Trump supporters, never mind people who don't support him).

Though I usually try to separate a content creator's work from their political beliefs (because that's a whole can of worms in itself), I find it much harder when the creator's views seep into their videos. And, in this case, Grade's views haven't just started seeping into his videos, they've stained them inside and out. It's even been made noticeable on this wiki (he wasn't added to the "Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining" sandbox for nothing). So after everything, I can safely say that I am no longer a fan of him, and once I finally get to see the full context behind his reaction to the existence of "the fish that swims up your dick" when the "Proof That God Hates Us" video eventually releases (whenever that is), I am leaving his channel behind for good.

Edit: With the reveal that he might not be coming back after the "How To Get Rich In 2025" video got taken down and he all but gave up after that, I'm all but calling it now. Which is good, as it saves time and energy I could be spending on other things. Also, if the GradeAUnderA vs GradeAUnderA video's rumors are true and he really is a pedophile (which he probably is, given his status as a Trump supporter, as well as some lines about underage users of OnlyFans in "How To Get Rich In 2025"), I'm gonna slice his legs off.
