Ultraman's answer to Infinity War

The Absolute Conspiracy stands out as one of the Ultra Fight spin-offs to end in a Downer Ending. Does this sound familiar?

Comparisons to Infinity War aside, TAC proved to be as bleak than Ultra Galaxy Fight: New Generation Heroes, having the miniseries divide into three story arcs and carry a meaningful theme. "The Beginning" is about racing against time with Ultraman Max in the verge of death when he's been injected by Gudis cells, and Ribut having to strengthen himself through trials put to him by Powered and Great while Hikari is formulating the antidote, at the same time Yullian being put into harm's way which is a foreshadowing to the third arc. "The Divergence" is about changing the future, for better or for worse—with Tartarus informing Early Style!Belial and Tregear of their future, especially when the latter laughed realizing that his efforts could go down the drain. What's weird enough that Tartarus's interference with the time stream only created parallel isotopes of those original villains (i.e., the Guar Army). "The Appearance" tells the viewers of how the Ultras having to prepare for the worst, no matter how uncertain they become. In this case, Yullian and 80 finding themselves in a tight spot when the Zetton Army destroyed their ship, Ultraman Z being unprepared to face the said Zettons when he voluntarily gets involved with Taiga and Mebius, the Ultra League didn't saw coming when Tartarus succeeds in kidnapping Yullian, being able to beat Zero even when his Shining Ultimate Zero form could have barely hold him off, and Genegarg barging in the Land of Light and stole the Ultra Medals, setting in motion the events of Ultraman Z.

Nevertheless, this mini-series is heart-pumping and we get to see familiar faces that returned for many years like Cosmos and Justice to name a few.
