The author does an excellent job of making the most of its simple premise. Many of the stories of the Pahkitew Island are handled better (like Scarlett as the villain, Sky and Dave's relationship, and Samey's character development), and the author makes better use of characters like Beardo, Topher, and Sugar than canon did. Likewise, All-Stars does a great job at fixing everything that made the canon version such a disaster, and creates excellent interaction between the Island, World Tour, and Pahkitew casts (although I feel Cody's maturation between seasons was a bit out-of-nowhere and should have been his story for the season). And while the alternate Pahkitew Island with the ROTI cast has only just started, it looks extremely promising already (Staci of all people receives some character development).
