Broken Pedestal

Where do I begin with this guy? I discovered him back in 2011 when I was going through a rough patch in school. I watched a video on his scariest childhood moments and from then on I was hooked. I watched the nostalgia critic, all the way up to his last review, the Scooby doo one. Afterwards I felt sad that it was over, but happy I had seen it. Then in 2013 he returned, making me a happy guy. Over time, I began to realize that while his new reviews looked nice, there was no heart and soul behind them. They were also very preachy and starting from 2016 onwards, had unfunny political jokes. I used to be Doug Walker’s biggest fan, now with the recent news that he is complacent in running his company, I wouldn’t even spit in his direction. I will always hold the classic era close to my heart, but now he is dead to me. RIP nostalgia critic: 2007-2012

Agree with all points. I stopped watching after his reboot. I still look back on the older reviews with fondness, but now that we know his true colors, I'll never support him again.

I have to say, I\'m the same way. I used to be a huge fan...but now I can\'t even stand to think of him.

Same. Can't even stand to even rewatch anything he does to see if he was ever actually funny cause that would be giving him a view he doesn't deserve.

I held him on a pedestal, then #Change The Channel happened.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.
