UNLESS you understand how he feels about being COMPLETELY annoyed by someone for years, you\'ll probably get used to it.
Contributor for Gunpla Wiki. Currently suspended due to extensive writing issues. PS: I only wrote down what I saw. (audience reactions etc)For stupid reasons? I kinda feel like he\'s completely justified in what he does. I mean, at this point it\'s less abuse and more self-defense.
I have a little brother whom I used to smack around when he annoyed me or did something I thought was stupid. In hindsight, I do regret it, because it wasn\'t my job to discipline him when he did that. I should have left it to my parents, or any other proper authority figure qualified to handle the situation. That\'s another problem I have with this cliche: the abusers somehow ejecting themselves as the person to \"punish\" the victim when he/she supposedly screws up, even though they have no right to do that.
I feel there needs to be a word minimum for reviews.
While some reviews are too short to express anything meaningful, I'm not sure a word minimum would solve the problem. A word limit challenges people to trim down their reviews, but if a word minimum were put in place, people would undoubtedly put in filler until they met the quota.
As for this review, while I agree that it could have gone into more detail, I also agree with the main point of the review- that trying to subvert Double Standard Abuse Female On Male by having the male lead hit the female lead isn't the right way to go. As annoying as Yoshiko can be, I don't think it necessarily warrants being punched.
Personally, I feel that Konosuba did this better, mainly because everything balances out. It\'s gender-neutral when it comes to... well, everything: Kazuma is the leader of the group, which gives him the authority, and his reactions are likely tame compared to what would happen to the girls if he went to the police; he mostly sticks to verbal taunts unless the girls do something both stupid AND dangerous (and even then, only uses violence on rare occasions); and they are willing to fight back when he goes too far.

I do not like it
Abuse for stupid reasons is still abuse for stupid reasons, and it ain't funny. Instead of trying to appeal to a Catharsis Factor by switching the genders around, you should be expressing why this cliche needs to stop altogether.
