Hoo boy, this is my first review. I’m not one who normally likes to do these, but Love Live is a franchise that I hold very close to my heart.
Love Live Sunshine is a wonderful anime. Cute girls with lovely personalities, amazing songs with eye-pleasing costumes, and plenty of feels.
The animation style has seriously improved from School Idol Project; it looks a little more realistic to me (even with the sparkly anime eyes, haha). The CG has gotten much better too; it’s less conspicuous, much smoother, and a lot more pleasing to look at.
My only real problem with the anime is the lack of development it gives certain characters-especially with You Watanabe in Season 2 since she got almost no development there. Hopefully the movie fixes this, I love her and I want to see her get some spotlight there. That’s my only complaint; I don’t like ranting/complaining so I’m just going to keep it to a minimum here.
Even if your favorite girl didn’t get much development in the anime, there’s still plenty of other options, much like the previous franchise. There’s School Idol Festival, Dengeki G’s Magazine, audio dramas, and so forth, so viewers can get more content of their best girl.
