The Actual 'Justice' Happens Early On

After a little, black girl is brutally raped and beaten by two white men, her father decides to take matters into his own hands and kills them, before they can stand trial.

And that's really the only important thing that happens. A big problem with the book for me is that I just don't care what happens after. The biggest issue has been resolved, so to speak.

I can't, and would never, say that what the father did was right. It wasn't. But as most humans are driven by emotion, I do not think I can be the one who feels terrible that he killed two red-neck jerks that raped a child.

I can't continue reading the book. Mostly because the rest is just the lawyer basically working and manipulating everyone into letting the guy off on an insanity plea. This was not one of Grisham's better books.
