Well I liked it

I just got done writing a review for Bvs.S so I thought might take some time to write a review for the movie that it came from Man of Steel.

Honestly it's mostly a similar circumstance. I am a HUGE Superman fan. I went to theater VERY hyped and was in a state of amazement when I came out. I loved the movie and while it is no longer on my Top 5 List (it is probably on my Top 10 list though) I still very very much enjoy it, having seen it over half a dozen times now.

Which is why it's so....confusing to me that others seem so angry at it. It really does feel like we watched different movies. Opinions can't be "wrong" per say. Although it kinda saddens me that my opinions vary so greatly from the majority....it really does sadden me that things that make me so happy apparently outright anger or sadden other people. Oh well.

But yeah I really liked this movie. I loved the fight scenes, as pretty much anyone did, even the detractors. However my favorite scenes were definitely the scenes with Young Clark. I was a very sensitive kid in my class, actually fainted multiples times from the stimuli, and I could related so painfully much to Young Clark wanting to just hide from the world.

Maybe I have always empathized with "Superman the Alien" over "Superman the Human". I don't know. But to me this movie does a beautiful job introducing us to Superman in all his complexities, all the while telling a story of both science-fiction intrigue and superhero scope. I have to wonder if people might have liked it more if it was an Elseworld story? Since that would make it more obvious that this Superman is different then the Modern Post-Crisis/New 52 ones. I don't know, just guessing. This Superman really did feel more like Golden Age Superman to me, but with a nice hint of all the later ages foreshadowing what Superman would become.

If you didn't like it, I'm not gonna arguing it with you. I personally couldn't get enough of it.

5/5
