Epic is a descent film worth a few casual viewings every now and then. The animation and visuals are very nice; Blue Sky has really upped their game in that department. There's some decent voice acting from very talented celebrities; I found the slug and snail to be hilarious. My only problem is that it's not as exciting and action packed as the trailers led me to believe.The plot is a generic 'Protect the MacGuffin' story. While I did find it enjoyable, it's not as much fun to watch as say, The Lego Movie or The Book of Life. It's an okay film, just not my favourite.
