I actually ordered a copy of the DVD from Amazon, and it was worth the money. The plot and the characters are beyond stereotypical, especially the prissy Christians who blatantly hate fun and the screaming innocent girl. Granted, the Asian stereotype is less amusing in this day and age, but at least he gets to serve as...kind of a sane voice? He keeps calling out other people's crap, at least.
The real draw for me was the music. The songs are so ridiculously catchy it's hard not to love them, especially the cut songs featured as a DVD extra. Eventually the Ear Worm effect is drowned out because every song is worse about it than the last and they fight for position to be stuck in your head.
While a lot of the death scenes are pure Narm, some of them are genuinely disturbing to watch, like the girl who has cement poured into her mouth. And the ending is actually pretty scary, I was actually surprised the first time around.
Overall, if you're looking for something terrible to relax with, put this on your list. You can even watch it after dark, it's really not that scary.
