I couldn't resist reading a fic pairing Bilbo with the One Ring. And it surprisingly pays off.
It takes an actual romance approach, not comedy, which I should state at the outset. And it's slash, which doesn't work for some (me included most of the time). However, since for most of the story (at current length) is a romance between a ring and Bilbo, it's debatable that's even slash. However, bodies do come into play in the recent chapters.
Glacial pace, but well-written and keeps you hooked. Still being regularly updated.
