It's well written and the author knows what they're doing. I'd like to take my hat off to them for actually remembering what Slytherin families are like and what it means to grow up in that environment. But I honestly hate all the leads so much I want nothing more than to read 'rocks fall. everyone dies' after every few lines of dialogue.
YMMV, of course, it's just if you're expecting Harry to be any sort of decent or good person you're going to be disappointed. He's petty, vindictive and openly racist. Which, again, makes perfect sense. He hates Muggles, hates Weasleys and has Malfoy for a best friend. And he's a kid. There's no way he couldn't be.
