Comedy has never been this funny.
This video suggests that fans of certain critically acclaimed comedies are always comedy bullies who hate on you for not liking their shows. I shall unfortunately be a target of most of them, because most of these so-called comedies are not even funny, at least not in my opinion. Community is the rare exception. Being written by self-confessed trop...

Kind of pointless
Spoilers ahead, but possibly mangled by my poor brain's overwhelm in reaction to the movie. The setup for the plot is incredibly elaborate, what with a train going around the world for years with a divided class structure inside and all that. For all this setup, you would expect some kind of message, but it instead becomes a mess with characters e...

Just Here For Godzilla
When the show first came out, I was always excited about new episodes, but then as I watched on, I resigned myself to only the last 5-10 minutes to see just the fights, because most of the rest of the show was very boring. A guy slicing a ballistics gel dummy in half with a sword might sound cool, but it gets boring around the 30th time. The fights...

Season 2 shows promise, but ...
Season 2 tries very hard to put a cohesive story together. Parts of the "Girl in Blue" arc of the game are not exactly known for great storytelling, in particular due to the medium itself, where randomly appearing monsters constantly interrupt the dialogue just when it seems like things could be getting good. The anime of course bypasses this pro...

Mortal Shark-Jump 11 (base game review)
Review of DLC content may come later Mortal Kombat 11 improves on its predecessor, Mortal Kombat X, in many areas. The animations and overall art style are vastly improved — the colours, characters and stages all look gorgeous. In many ways, 11 pays homage to Deception by bringing back the less iconic, kult klassic kharacters such as Jade and Noo...

A hard but enjoyable game.
I'd heard good things about The Last of Us, so it was one of the games I most wanted to check out on the PS 3, along with Persona 5 and the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 collection. Now, having recently completed it after a lengthy hiatus from it, I highly recommend it to anyone with a console that runs it and the patience for a challenging game. The game ta...

If you'd been around in the '80s, your first reaction to seeing the trailer likely would've been "this sounds stupid...wait, George Carlin??" That was my reaction, anyway. So...yeah. This movie IS incredibly dumb, but also incredibly fun. It doesn't just balance on the lines between "funny", "smart", and "you've got to be kidding me" â...

A Unique, Incredible Game That I'm Never Playing Again
I just finished Death Stranding by getting the platinum trophy in the post-game. That was a one-of-a-kind experience about isolation, connections, and survival that I don't think will ever be replicated or fade from my memory...and at 130+ hours (for my run), it's something I'm never playing again. Death Stranding is my first Kojima game, so I w...

A Down-Home Classic!
I've always been a fan of the great Robert Altman, but I've never approached Garrison Keillor. Keillor's always been held as the gold standard of literate Heartland humor that's too genteel for its own good (think Homer Simpson's cry of "Be more funny!"). Leave it to the two of them to gleefully take the piss out of that image with gusto and...

This is one of the few Labyrinth fanfictions to ever turn the tables. In this fic, it's Jareth who really is a slave to Sarah's power. I would love to see something like this expanded, because Jareth realizes that he may have bit off more than he can chew with her, and its Amazing.

This is my favorite Labyrinth fanfiction, hands down. I come back and read it every few months. Her stories are some of the creepiest, most distrubing things I've ever read. Not in fanfiction, I mean ever. Most of them I can only read once because they are mentally so disturbing I have had actualy nightmares. However, one or two of her pieces are fluffy romance and she does that equally well. Beware but definetly check out.

I love going back to this one. Its well written and complete, and doesnt skimp on the details. Neither does it have overly descriptive chunks of text that make it hard to focus on the plot. Warhammer Fantasy. 40K's older brother. Simple pros/cons breakdown, since I'm lazy. Twilight AXIS ONA: How to fail at making an adaptation
I'm a big fan of Gundam, but there are still entries from it that I dislike. The Twilight AXIS ONA however, felt particularly bad even among my dislike for Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. And it's sad, because I know that it's the fault of the ONA rather than the series itself. The ONA just doesn't ...

So Much Wasted Potential
This game had so much potential to be great. The setting and lore are awesome; I love steampunk, and blending it with traditional fantasy is great. While the Series 9 episode "Heaven Sent" may have the most clout among the hardcore fanbase, many overlook that Series 8 already gave us the best (Moffat era) Doctor Who story of all time.
