I'd say it fits the criteria. 1. a lot of talk about a hot topic 2. most of the talk is negative and critical towards the topic. 2.5 drama around it is extreme, to the point the team is fracturing. 3. people outside of the Fallout New Vegas mod scene are taking note, and the controversy is all they know about it.
