The Ass Pull entry is bothering me just a little bit. The only reason it counts is by the Not His Sled effect: We expected the events from NGE to happen, and instead the new events in Rebuild occurred, completely changing the direction (and outcome) of the scene. Insufficiently justified/explained by the plot? Probably. But I'm not convinced this is the correct trope to describe it.
