Whole scene without the shaky camera effect.
I agree that it could be presented in a more neutral manner, but since it's a YMMV entry by nature which means it doesn't necessarily require everyone to think exactly like what's written there.
What I mean is that similar to how Ron the Death Eater or Draco in Leather Pants are used when a notable amount of people see characters A or B like that, but it doesn't always mean everyone else has to share those views on the characters.

I'm actually not biased against Starlight; in fact I tend to like plenty of her appearances. And yet even I found this entire episode to be utterly ridiculous, least of all that one specific moment.

I question the appropriateness of the following:
Here is the scene in question. It looks to me like it was an lucky accident on Starlight's behalf, such that the luck factor would negate the "out of nowhere" aspect that makes it an Ass Pull. Besides, it seems like a nitpick from those already biases against her.
Keep? Ideas to rewrite it or replace it with a different trope to make it more neutral?
