"Mr. Incredible; Is he even that good a superhero and husband? In this movie, he seems really petty, selfish, impulsive, angry, entitled, and jealous of not being the center of attention and being in on Hector's plan to get Supers legalised, because of his past of causing huge amounts of collateral damage. He actually struggles to compliment his wife for her past superheroics, putting into question if he actually looked down on Elasti-Girl when they had first worked together. Even by the end of the movie, he never actually evolves putting his past mistakes and screw-ups onto himself, he still blames other people for the messes he causes."
This is listed under Alternative Character Interpretation, but it feels like character bashing. Could someone else weigh in on this?
That very much reads like character bashing and borders on Ron the Death Eater to me.
I tried asking the “remove bashing” thread about this but nobody responded yet.
Here’s the thread: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13327578050A72722200&page=45
This is indeed character bashing, and seems to echo several "points" made from a review that was clearly based only on the trailers and a plot summary.
