Is there a trope for coincidences being mistaken as references? Because so many people think the monster is a reference to Neil Cicierega, aka Lemon Demon, but the dev confirmed that wasn't intentional. Is there a trope for this?

Not sure if you still want this, but the trope is called Common Knowledge, in this context anyway. Someone already fixed it though.
Okay is it safe to say that we're reaching levels of The Law of Fan Jackassery that it's worth adding now? Several mods are dropping like flies and various artist and creators are leaving and disassociating with the fandom because of it's toxicity. With some of these mod creators being controversial like the one behind Video Game/VSAGOTI or that Beach Brother mod.
Like Vs Sky, Vs Whitty, V.S. TABI Ex Boyfriend and now it appears that Mid-Fight Masses is the latest victim...
