The storyline is very similar to God of War, but the rest of the game is completely different. The story is really just a take on tried and true myths of larger than life heroes overcoming betrayal; see The Count of Monte Cristo as another famous example.
Too bad the rest of the game is not so good.

Not-God of War?
Am I the only one who sees this game as a Japanese company trying to one-up the Go W series? Divine character, gets killed/betrayed, his family are victims, he wants revenge and he's super-pissed... I just think they made this game so they can say "Look, our super-pissed god character is more powerful than yours".
