Would someone mind locking this page until that foul-mouthed edit-warring user (who keeps changing accounts) goes away?

We do have a thread where you can place lock requests.

Doesn't this movie count as a particular kind of Technology Porn?

Lego Porn to be specific?

As someone fascinated by Lego, not just the standard 4x2 bricks but all the oddly shaped elements (particularly from Lego Space/Futuron), it's *hugely* fascinating to recognize a lot of them in this movie, how they're used, how they fit together.

I mean, nothing happens in my pants, but that's not where normal Technology Porn is supposed to cause anything to happen either.

Is there an official word on whether the upcoming Ninjago movie is connected t these movies, because I've heard both yes and no in various places

This example of Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny! says nothing about how or why it fits:

  • Benny certainly counts as one, considering his continuing lack of oxygen and his obsession with building "A SPACESHIP!"

I had removed it for being a murky example, but SgtFrog added it back for no reason.

Er... What happened to the title?

It's spelled "The Leg Omovie" for me.

Seems like you ran into The Problem with Pen Island with a specific link.

The bits in the article that say "pause to see...": Is this from the trailer, or does someone have a copy and forget that the rest of the world doesn't yet? :)

I don't want to be the "Deletes everything" guy, but there are a number of references to the "Sequel Hook" both the trope and on the sub-pages. There isn't one, is there? A funny stinger, sure. Promise that the CHARACTERS will have more adventures. But did anybody watch that movie and thinks in any way that they will make a sequel on that premise? Or am I the odd one out here....?

I did.

At the very least, we know there's another creator out there and she'll likely have her own weird ideas and it'll change things up.

The thing is, it wasn't so much as a sequel hook as just the setup for one last punchline. Sure, one could predict that, should a sequel ever be made, it might incorporate the stinger, but at this point in time claiming that it's a sequel hook is like saying that Zion surviving Matrix: Revolutions is a sequel hook - you'd only call it such in hindsight.

Yeah, there's now an fanfiction archive for the Lego Movie.

So feel free to rec some fics. It's a bit small at the moment, but it'll hopefully grow eventually.

Where would the massive plot similarities to The Matrix fall? Shout Out? Whole Plot Reference?

Maybe the latter, but the example needs to describe the whole plot similarities.

Okay, apparently this line was confusing people and encouraging them to add spoilered out trope names in contravention of the Spoiler Policy, so I've pulled it to here. Not sure this was actually needed any longer anyway since it seems to pre-date the movie's release. It also seems to be one person's Single-Issue Wonk about keeping the movie's secrets which is somewhat counter to the mission of the wiki. Not fan-teasing is covered in the Spoiler Policy too.

Please use spoiler tags for spoilers in the movie that no promo clips or trailers ever showed, as there are major ones!

This movie uses "awesome" as a running theme and yet this article doesn't have an Awesome page!?! For shame!

Can't figure out how. They tell me to "click the Edit button above", but the only button that remotely resembles anything like that... takes me to an Edit page with a blank text field!

I wonder if they'll take the opportunity to include a Brick Joke (in both senses of the phrase simultaneously) or two... :D
