That's just it. They almost got the main cast killed in their previous episode. They were villains in that episode. Villains who were out of control and needed to be stopped, or they would've made innocent people end up dead. Yet in their next appearance, they're only referred to as being "annoying". ...Really? Something that almost kills you and your friends is simply annoying? And now you need to save them from Mozenrath because... why?
Well, the cast saves them because, to paraphrase Genie, saving people you may not like is a 'good guy' thing. I honestly don't remember the sprites' initial episode, but considering Aladdin and friends face monsters on a daily basis, maybe the sprites really do seem only annoying in comparison.
Beyond that, I got nothin'.

I'm not sure if they're exactly forgiven. Iago spends the majority of the episode complaining about how annoying they are. Genie even admits their annoying,too, but he also says that they should still try to help people in danger. Aladdin mostly wants to help because Mozenrath is involved.
