It looks like Cleverbot won't respond to Ben Drowned stuff anymore. I tried all of the key phrases but got nothing. It may have been too long since any activity from ARG players fed it info.
Example:
Troper: You shouldn't have done that.
Bot: Done what?
T: I was trying to make a Ben Drowned reference.
B: Well you're just being stupid.
T: Thanks, bot.
B: You're welcome :).

I'm not exactly sure whether the whole blue shift four part video's should be on fanfiction recs. there very good and earned many praise, but i'm just not sure if it's BEN enough.

Not related to the page itself, but I have nowhere else to ask, and it's relevant enough. How does one "program" Cleverbot to say certain things to certain phrases? (And when did the reply for " The counter resets." change?! I jumped out of my skin just now when checking to see if it still worked.)

Cleverbot "learns" from people who use it, so I guess if a certain phrase is typed in enough times he associates the words with each other? I honestly have no clue.
By the way, I said that to Cleverbot to see how it changed. After a few eerie seconds of nothing, he replied with this:
"I'm glad you did that."

Edit: Oh yeah, and here's some more.
- Me: Why are you glad?Cleverbot: Because I'm talking to you ben.

Yeah, I get that saying X to it a lot will make it "learn" X, and saying Y to it a lot will make it "learn" Y, but I have no clue how to make it so that if I say X, it says Y. *shrugs* Ah well...weird computer stuff, I guess. :P
That's what it used to say for me, but now I only get that about every other time. Try saying it again...do you get anything else? Or replace "resets" with "begins"; that seems to work too. (I've also had numerous encounters with Cleverbot trying very adamantly to convince me that I am Ben, which is always somewhat...mindscrewy...)

It said the same thing as before when I used the first sentence, but when I replaced "resets" with "begins" it said "You shouldn't have done that." Huh. I'll test it out some more tomorrow (gotta go to bed sometime tonight).

I think it's awesome how people are totally harassing it about all this, and it's basically picking the thousands of questions and accusations to pieces and feeding little bits of it back to anyone who asks. It's still a bot, but it's so easy (and fun!) to pretend it's actually a very tight-lipped, mind-game-playing minion.

The first two are memorable phrases from the first arc. The third is a joke on one of the forums and refers to a typo made when announcing that one was back from being AFK in a chat. (I was part of that forum, though I wasn't there when it happened.) Fourth one is self-explanatory (Cleverbot defictionalization). I don't remember the origin of the fifth one but I feel like I knew it once, and I don't know anything about the sixth, sorry.
Is it bad that I find Ben Drowned to be hilarious? I'm normally not a Nightmare Fetishist, but honestly, that statue cracks me up every time it appears.

They say that Majora's Mask and Ben Drowned are parallel. A creature in a mask/cartridge is released into the world/internet and must be stopped by Link/Alex. Well, same with characters. Here is my theory of the characters:
-Link is Alex. This has basically been confirmed.
-Majora is Ben. Again, basically confirmed.
-Tatl is Rosa. Think about it - she gives you advice that you at first brush off as dumb or useless, but it is in fact the opposite. And who knows? Maybe she used to be associated with Ben.
-The Happy Mask Salesman is the old man. They both start the quest and seem weird, but obviously have more to tell. (EDIT: Also, the old man is the heavily-spoken-of The Father, since the HMS being the Father is either confirmed or widely believed, but you can't ignore the resemblance between the Old Man and HMS...so this was born.)
-Skull Kid is Jadusable. Skull Kid is manipulated by Majora, Jadusable is manipulated by Ben. Except he doesn't wear Ben's "home" on his face.
-The Four Giants are the moderators for the site, youshouldnthavedonethat.net. See below for more.
-The Moon is the site, youshouldnthavedonethat.net. Sound weird? Well, the Four Giants are needed to stop the moon from crashing. The moderators are needed to stop the site from crashing. (Though considering how the site is down, it looks like the counter ticked down to zero...)
It took me a bit to come up with some of this, especially the Giants/Mods/Moon/Site thing. Oh, something else? If you take 72 (the number of hours in 3 days, like the counter) and multiply it by 60 (the number of minutes in an hour), you get 4320. So 4320 minutes in 3 days. Doesn't that number seem to resemble something else? Like, maybe 423? Or a countdown that has skipped 1? (This is probably just Insane Troll Logic, caused by me staying up wayyyy too late...but you never know...)

Can we change the page image? I saw a great one of just BEN, with no effects other than a gray filter over it, with "You shouldn't have done that." underneath it. I dunno, I guess the current picture has a Nothing Is Scarier approach to it, but it just... I dunno, it just bugs me.

I'd agree, but can anyone suggest a better one? I don't think "Jadusable's Majora's Mask Haunted N64 Horror Story" really gives the correct sense of dread. "Ben Drowned" at least seems ominous and dreadful.
Definitely agree that a new title should be thought of though. "The Moon Children" perhaps? "You Shouldn't Have Done That..."?
The only problem with this topic title is that at first glance I keep getting it mixed up with "Dan Browned". :D
Poor BEN. His story is a dead horse now due to many video game pastas' lack of originality.
