Should some Third Positionist (Real-Life Commie Nazi ) ideologies be listed here? Like National Bolshevism and Strasserism? Ba'athism, which is listed both here and on the analysis page for Commie Nazis, and while they are considered forms of facism, which itself is listed appropriately under the "Not Socialism" folder, Strasserism and National Bolshevism ARE socialist at least in theory. The Strasserists advocated for socialist economics, and were purged from the Nazi Party by Hitler, and some National Bolsheviks have been described as far-left and even anti-revisionist (Stalinist/Maoism/Hoxhaism).

Little issues of potential Flame Bait:

"Trotskyism grew out of Leon Trotsky's response to the brutality meted out by the Soviet bureacracy under Stalin."

Strikes me as kind of a Historical Hero Upgrade. Leon Trotsky could be pretty brutal himself, like willing to take former tsarist officers' families hostage. It's pretty debatable if he would have been better of worse than Stalin had he come out on top and mostly had a problem with Soviet oppression after he'd been exiled. .

"The USSR was not a dictatorship of the proletariat; rather, it was a bureacratic dictatorship in the common usage of the word. "

I've heard the No True Scots Man that the USSR wasn't really communist alot and this seems a variation.

On the first one: Fair enough - though it is important to note that whilst Trotsky did cast his ideology in opposition to Stalinist repression, even if that was extremely hypocritical.

On the second: dictatorship of the proletariat in Marxian terms is when the working class hold political power, which was never really the case during the Soviet era. The USSR's version of it failed even on its own terms. I'd keep that bit in.

Well... Let me ask, if we have Political Ideologies, then is there a need for separate page on socialism? Just asking.

Based on the principals of the wiki, there should be a political ideologies page, as well as a page for every political ideology expounded upon in that page, much like we have for Sliding Scale Of Anti Heroes and other select tropes.
