- Butch Hartman (as well as most of the crew) have apologized for the episode "It's a Wishful Life"
Wait, what? I'm calling bull on this one. Not that it wouldn't be great for it to happen, but I've never heard of Butch Hartman ever apologizing for his mistakes on this show. He still to this day (late 2015) thinks raising Cosmo's voice to levels only dogs can hear is a genius move.
I have some doubts about the "Shelf of TV Languishment" story. While I can't find a source to confirm or deny any early Australian airings, Butch Hartman's story is that Season 2 wasn't greenlit until after Season 1 aired. Assuming each episode takes seven or eight months to produce (as TV animation typically does,) it would cleanly explain the hiatus from May to December 2001 (and why the first episode of Season 2, even in production order, is a Christmas special.)
Edit: I won't deny the copyright years, but those could just mean when the bulk of production was performed and not when the product was finalized. For example, the previously unaired Crash Nebula pilot was retooled as an FOP episode in 2004, but the copyright info still reads 2002.
