Combo videos -
Perhaps one of the best examples of this trope are combo videos, which basically feature a character from some fighting game using flashy "combos" (chain attacks) to brutally beat up on some other poor character for a whole 3+ or so minutes. The whole thing is set to just about any kind of background music (metal, MIDI, classical, etc) but most are generally set to melancholic, "uplifting" or fast/cheerful anime music.
Surprisingly often enough this combination actually works, turning these videos from simple "how-tos" or "look at me beat some poor sap with style" videos to genuine works of art that people (or at least, gamers) can appreciate.
If the the fast/cheerful anime music also happened to be about some really weird stuff like despair/end of the world-type subjects then you also have lyrical dissonance.
