Does anyone know of a trope that fits Jiraiya's Ninja Arts technique of ground swimming? I've been looking everywhere and the best I could get was Sand Is Water, but I realized that it more likely means the ability to control sand. So, can someone help?

Should Name's the Same be added, or are there enough Tropes on the page already?

Was it right to deem Saizou as The Chick and a bumbling fool? For all he's worth, he's actually pretty competent on his job when the situation demands. I've watched Kakuranger and I'd say he's doing a fair job being a shinobi, and surprisingly, compared to Sekai, he's less than likely to get in trouble (Sekai tends to get into James Bondage situation first). He's also had quite a lot of share in defeating monsters of the week. I'd say, he's not quite the ironic Generation Xerox of Kirigakure Saizou, he's actually doing a good job to uphold his namesake's reputation. Yes, he did sometimes boast to the civilians, being a Ted Baxter, but when it comes to Youkai-fighting, he's really competent.

Was it right to refer him as Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass instead?

For the most part, I just based the Five-Man Band positions on the information out there. Tsuruhime I put as The Lancer because I saw her as Sasuke's foil. Jiraiya as The Smart Guy a bit because his main Ninpou is the most defensive in nature (the groundswimming; the info also says he uses martial arts more than ninpo unlike the others). That left Saizou as The Chick: his feminine way of speaking, his very light suit color and he was "unlucky in most things" was what convinced me. Then again, now that I think of it, perhaps a little switchup of the positions (Jiraiya to The Lancer, Saizou as The Smart Guy and Tsuruhime as The Chick) seems justifiable.

*Face Palm and sigh* Maybe one of these days, the whole Super Sentai Five-Man Band needs a revamp, once I watched the rest of them.

Still, some of your previous points valid (especially on Jiraiya, he does have more Smart Guy qualities rather than just a master of surprise attacks, especially the Surprisingly Good English). Tsuruhime being The Chick might also because in Mirai Sentai Timeranger, Yuuri is the official leader, but she's saddled with the position of The Chick, and Tsuruhime is Kakurangers' leader. Just Saizou's one bugs me, because he's a pretty competent guy.

Bottom line, all I'm asking is that 'Is it OK to put the trope Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass on Saizou'? Not 'should he change from The Chick'? Because, really, he'd have NO characteristics of The Smart Guy (not even the fighting style of lots of backflips...)

Yes, you can put down Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass on Saizou. I now think its a good description now that I think of it.

My suddenly lackluster internet connection prevented me from properly accessing tvtropes these past few days. That's why I'm only responding now. Its working good now.
