re: cut

I can't really make any sense of this, which is counter to the entire point of having a page.

It looks like Fast Eddie has been fixing some of the problems.

Still needs a trope list, and the description's gushiness is rather painful.

Well it's got the "odd Magical Realist town (like Xanadu but larger)", its genre is apparent, Jennifer Tilly played a Hooker, roll a dice to see if she had a Heart Of Gold and I'll take its Too Good to Last status in good faith since every review I read about it nowadays is positive. If the thing still has ardent fans after 17 years, it did something right.

You throw those in, I've taken out the remaining Purple Prose although I did like the use of "chimera". We can extract the bias of seeing all Magical Realism through the Fan Myopia of One Hundred Years Of Solitude but if somebody thinks it was an influence then we'll note it an an influence.

Started a trope list. Often times, tropes in the description belong in the trope list as well. <grin>

I'm not sure this was Screwed by the Network, especially since this is FOX — though admittedly, FOX was a more innocent place in 1993. It got a full 13-episode half-season, all of it aired. To get Screwed by the Network by that network means six episodes or less — any network could screw a Magical Realism show with 13. (I'm thinking of Threshold and Invasion! right now, though those weren't really Too Good to Last.)

Type the word in the image. This goes away if you get known.
