"The Matchmaker" uses a rapid-fire genre shift gag nearly identical to one that showed up in Gravity Falls, complete with the sudden shift to live-action with the voice actors in place of their characters (something I think has only ever been done by these two shows, though I could be wrong).
Not sure how to file it, though. "The Matchmaker" premiered in November 2015, "Weirdmageddon" in February 2016. Given previous references across the two shows ("The Cartoon") it's probably intentional. But figuring in both animation lead time and the way Disney kept @#$@ing with both shows' schedules, I can't for the life of me figure out which should be listed as the Shout-Out and which is being shouted out to.
