After my success of getting Tron into the Friendship house, I'm gonna nominate another candidate for this house: Inspector Carmelita Fox. She's got a VERY Black and White view regarding crimes, thinking even stepping on forbidden grass by accident as bad as genocide, but as of 2013, she's secretly in league with the Cooper Gang.
I suggest she could be the Goddess of Crime Busting and Secret Criminal Dating? I recommend a better title for her, but this is a good example.
She suits the Dating Catwoman, Enemy Mine and All Crimes Are Equal tropes, though the latter is already taken.
The honorable Prince of the Sea: Manaphy Hide / Show RepliesDo we even nominate on these pages anymore, of is there another page to nominate potential gods? Just wondering...
The honorable Prince of the Sea: ManaphyYes, here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMayor, student consuls, and class reps are leadership tropes rather than justice tropes. Any objections to a relocation?
Edited by magnum12 Hide / Show RepliesDisregard this, I pressed the wrong button. Re-posted what I said here below!
Edited by OrihimeQuick one. Any objections for also making Gibbs the god of the Dope Slap?
Sorry, this post was supposed to be a new topic.
Edited by 107.213.108.71So can anyone tell me the reason why a Yu-Gi-Oh! villain who didn't have much importance in the anime he came from be the God of Judgement of all things?
Edited by magictoaster Hide / Show RepliesAs much as I am a YGO fan, I have to agree. Can we have the Judge from Ace Attorney instead, or even better, the new Judge from AAI 2 Hakari Mikagami? I mean, Johnson was just there for one Duel simulated in a courtroom. And he wasn't even doing his supposed job, he was actually trying to prosecute Jonouchi.
Edited by DarkScytheQueen I don't like siding in flame wars, so I'll be here on the fence with a tub o' popcorn.I would change the character to someone else myself, but I'm not really confident in making these entries, I can't decide who to change it to, and I fear that I might incur the wrath of the moderators.
Well, can anyone think of any ideas? The Judge from Ace Attorney is a good idea, but I would like to hear any other ideas if anyone has any.
Having looked through this one, I was going to add to it. I know there's concern about One Piece characters becoming a majority on the Pantheon, but the series goes out of its way to name three forms of Justice I didn't catch on here. Akoji's "Lazy Justice", Rob Lucci's "Dark Justice", and Akainu's "Absolute Justice". Would there be any objections to an addition?
Does Kim Kaphwan from Fatal Fury and The King Of Fighters has what it takes to be added here? I think he does, but I'd like more input from fellow videogame players.
Hide / Show RepliesI've been thinking that since Valvatorez' job in Hades is to rehabilitate Prinnies so that they can eventually work their way to reincarnation, perhaps he should oversee the rehabilitation of those in Purgatory or have Fallen. It's already established that he's willing to help Rika get Shion redeemed.
Edited by AkoSiKuya32 Hide / Show RepliesGreat idea. Asks the question of just how easy it would be to actually redeem Shion. There are actually a lot of mitigating circumstances.
1. As seen in the Massacre chapter, she's genuinely horrified AND repentant when she found out about what she did in other worlds. 2. Due to the Ground Hog Day Loop, those sins are temporary in nature. 3. She wasn't exactly herself during those arcs, with her insanity being fed by Hinimizawa Syndrome. 4. Wrong as she was in her suspicions, due to Onryu's cruel actions and policies, Shion had every reason to suspect her involvement. —It does NOT help that Onryu is a supreme Swiss Messenger who's actions and policies are directly (Cotton Drifiting/Eye Opening) or indirectly (via provoking Ooishi's actions/suspicions and her policy towards the Hojo siblings) responsible for many of the cycles of death and madness in the first 6 chapters. It should also be noted that Onryu's abusive treatment of Shion including torture for petty reasons is Shion's Start of Darkness.
Damming circumstances (the ones that made her part of the fallen) 1. The horrific nature of Shion's actions. (The big one) 2. Her intense reactions towards Satoshi and intense Knight Templar Big Sister aspects in other chapters (also includes protectiveness towards Satoshi). This is actually part of her NORMAL personality. It is however justified as she knows Satoshi's life sucks (in part due to nasty home life and once again Onryu) and she legitimately wants to ease that pain. (Good motive)
Edited by magnum12What to do about crime, the opposite side of justice? Should it be a part of its own house or part of a different house? Speaking of crime tropes, anyone have ideas for Mafia Princess? The only ideas I can think of (based on actually knowing the characters) are Mion Sonozaki and Mitsuru (though she's closer to shadow corporation).
Hide / Show RepliesAs for Crime, I think it should have it's house as it is the opposite of Justice after all. For Mafia Princess, I definitely do not think Mion should be a candidate.
Edited by RawpowerEX I always search for the truth.I am not sure if Mitsuru fits in such a 'negative' portfolio. I mean, sure, I think her house moving into Fate Worse than Death is a bit forced, but that's because someone, without permission and all, just shoved in Luna Platz into her former position of Student Council President... as well as the fact that I'm not sure Kirijo Group, despite its questionable methods, are really that criminal-based. As the head of the Group by the time of Persona 4 Arena, Mitsuru isn't exactly anti-justice or a criminal stuffs.
Calling her to be a crime-based one would get you executed by her, so careful.
If we do have one for Mafia Princess, then we need to place a lot of emphasis on the duality the trope represents. Namely the fact that said diety (especially if their alignment is good) will intrinsically have a lot of Lawful Evil and Neutral Evil Poisonous Friend followers (the actual mobsters/criminal element themselves). The Mafia Princess is usually not a part of the nasty stuff the underlings and crime boss do.
Does anyone else think that Andy Dufresne of The Shawshank Redemption might have a place as the god of the wrongfully convicted and/or having to come to prison to be a crook?
