So this version of the example below has been constantly added in and removed. I believe it should stay in because, mainly, many outlets were talking about it. Gmx believes the game series has always been anti-Nazi and thus this example is unnecessary, calling it propaganda that harms the message.

Here's the example in its current form.

  • Meta-wise, the fact that there are people who have seen advertisements for this game, feel like it is an attack on their political views, and are defending Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan in 2017 is more than a little scary, if not darkly hilarious and sad. Or the fact that a game where Nazis take over America and proceed to enact all manner of totalitarian atrocities is being called timely by several media outlets and observers. If you watch any video concerning the Nazis in Wolfenstein on You Tube, chances are you will find a sizable dislike ratio (nearly 50% in some) and a ton of comments defending the Nazis and condemning the developers below. In this day and age, in the 21st century, after millions of real people have died putting an end to the Nazi menace, there are still those who would support it wholeheartedly. You couldn't even tell if they're being trolls or sincere.
    • Not only that, but it throws into a disturbing light the old retort of, "Nazism couldn't really have taken root in America, because the people wouldn't have stood for it!". Even after a world war and millions of dead and death camps and a whole ideology exposed as demented and pitilessly cruel, there are still people defending it. It doesn't seem irrational to notice that Nazism is making a resurgence.

What I’m talking about people like you pushing the agenda that the game reflects real life. The team has stated the game has been in the work before what happened in recent events. You can also blame Bethesda for raking on what happen in Charlottesville and the current political climate to promote their game. I’m upset that this game is being used by people who claim this is anti-right wing and people like YOU having the gall to write stuff like this that only adds fuel to the fire on both sides and adding to the already out of control hysteria.

Regardless, it should be acknowledged because, I don't know, there are fucking Nazis coming out of the woodworks in America. Makes you think.

Exactly, you don’t know. And I have. Literally after Charlottesville they been using qoutes from the President in advertisment, and even before then made reference to known racist Richard Spencer, course to get on the “Punch a Nazi “ shit that was going on. How about you take a good long look at the Wolfenstein franchise before this game and them come back to talk.

Tell me , asides from Charlottesville, where theses self proclaim nazis are coming from? Cause unlike them, I seen more of Antifa then these supose Nazis suddenly appearing. are you perhaps getting Antifa confused with nazis?

Besides, there is already a reference to this in the YMMV On Harsher in Hindsight

The "I don't know" is supposed to be sarcasm. And I'm not worried about Antifa. They're far less likely to commit violence (along with other extreme left-wing groups) compared to their extreme right-wing counterparts.

Antifa is not like the Nazis in the slightest. Good god, it's like I'm banging my head against a wall.

Heard the story of one antifa member almost killing a man by hitting him with a bike lock? Or the one where they stabbed a Police horse? Or how one stabbed a woman in the throat? Surely you myst have heard about the Berkely riots all cause they didn’t want a man to have a platform to speak? How about the general factor they throw bottles, piss jars, arm themseldes woth bats and bike locks, break public property, burn and destory trash cans and set stuff on fire? Or the fact they will and tell their members to attack anyone with a camera just so they don’t get found out and arrested?

How about outside of antifa, a Bernie supporter went on a stabbing spree or did you also forget or did heard of the shooter who shot at republicans at a basball game? Or the fact like with the Las Vagas shooting, leftist were cheering the fact that those people could have been right wing JUST CAUSE it was a country music concert because obviously only racist right wing rednecks love country right? No left leaning people likes country right? You see what I’m getting at?

Violence and avicating for violence from the left exist just as much as it does fron the right. Just cause they haven’t done anything noteworthy doen’t make them any less dangerous with their toxic mindset. They are both scum and saying one side isnt as bad is ridiculous. How about you bang your head on that wall harder and maybe you’ll come to your senses and stop pretending the left is innocent before cracking your skull open?

Citation needed. Also, I'm no longer taking you seriously as soon as you delve into the "both sides" bullshit.

Several minutes spent looking up stuff online and Snopes told me you're dead wrong. Antifa's not the one spewing bigoted stuff. Antifa's not the one who ran over people in Charlottesville. It's the Nazis.

Maybe the problem is you.

Look, I mostly agree with you Nord, but I am 100% against letting politics of any sort seep into the wiki, especially hot-button flame/troll-bait like this.

Um, hello? Nazis? We're talking about Nazis here. Since when saying they're bad is controversial?

The thing is, that's not the issue a lot of people have with the game's marketing. The majority of complaints I've seen about the advertising is how it seems to reference Trump's campaign and/or endorses Antifa, which to some gives the implication that people who support Trump are Nazis and/or should be physically assaulted. Especially with how your example is written now, which similarly comes off as saying that anybody who doesn't like the advertising is either a Nazi or a Nazi sympathizer, when there are legitimate reasons not to like it.
