What would be the difference between this trope and Absurdly Sharp Claws?

What about the lizard-men from the nightclub in Samurai Jack? They had extendable metal fingers on their hands.

Would Toothless' retractable teeth count as a variation of this trope, or would it go under something else?

where's "The Maxx" under comics? - One claw per hand, off the knuckles - a bluntly conic spike, each - but powered by speed and muscle ... they could curl when relaxed or distracted from valiant melee, as I recall ...

Does this one apply to natural claws, for example on a catboy/catgirl, or other human or semihuman type who has claws naturally from birth?

Someone put Jame (from Chronicles Of The Kencyrath) on here; she has natural claws in her fingers, which is one of the physical traits associated with being Shanir (God-touched) among her people.

So far, most if not all the examples are artificial claws, whether as a held weapon or glove, or embedded in the body à la Wolverine.

Fortunately, clawed gauntlets are a weapon used in those books as well, so I could reword the entry and leave it, but it's probably worth deciding.
