To sum up the archived discussion: it's a response to a YKTTW about things that shouldn't be tropes despite appearing in multiple works, which used this as an example. Someone evidently objected.

Can we get a picture of those babies from Invader Zim up here? Thanks.

I don't think it'd work as a page image. After they do the freaky Body Horror thing they're no longer recognizable as babies, and before they're not really a wave.

It even had a Troper Tales page. I think it was about a wave of doll babies or something.

Removed the Donkey Kong Country example for not being an example.

Okay, this suffered from a mild case of Trope Decay. To be clear: it is about a wave of babies. It is Exactly What It Says on the Tin. Not merely "a large number of babies in a space". This may mean it does not have very many examples: that's fine. I was thrilled to find merely three. Don't force it if it doesn't fit.

It may need to be pruned further.

I must confess, I never in my life would have expected this of all articles to undergo Trope Decay.
