If this is the opposite of Life Imitates Art, how come this isn't a Trivia trope while the latter is?

Should this page have video examples? It seems to be more of a trope category than a trope itself. If it's a singular trope page for every realistic thing that happens in a work, that seems like People Sit on Chairs.

Seeing how this trope (and tropes in general) is not specific to television at all, notwithstanding the Artifact Title of the wiki itself, I suggest renaming this trope to something more generic, like Truth in Fiction.

I´m agree with you, Truth in Television sounds like the only truth is in television or something.

The only thing is Truth in television is alliterative. Maybe Truth in Tropes?

Sorry, did not notice this was from 8 years ago.

aaaaah, I only now got that this means "things that are truth being put in television"

I've been reading it as "this is only true in television" up to now

I thought this trope means something that only the writers know is true happening in fiction before I read the page.

what's the difference between this page and the examples on the [[real life]] page? this one seems unneccessary.

The Real Life page is mostly Just for Fun, this is the actual Real Life page.

Where did the trope get the stat that 30% of marriages in Japan are arranged? I live in Japan and I've lived here for a long time, and arranged marriages are extremely uncommon nowadays. Maybe many decades ago, they were more common, but hardly anyone is involved in arranged marriages these days. At least, it's NOT 30%!

This troper has lived in the south his entire life and I've only ever met one person who dated someone even remotely related (third or fourth cousin or something like that.) I'll be back everyday if necessary to keep the Kissing Cousins entry deleted. You can say kissing cousins happens but quit singling out the south.

With the size of this index, would it be viable to sort it into alphabetical folders? This is a pretty cumbersome page to sort through at the moment.

5 days ahead of me. Actually, I was wondering why this page needs examples at all.

If this trope is supposed to function as an index, it needs to lose all the Natter in the list, because they mess up the indexer. I'm starting a forum thread about it.
