Actually the satanic imagery ALSO comes from Isaac's mother. She took everything away from him and locked him in his room to prevent being 'corrupted' — and since the source of 'corruption' isn't something Isaac can detect it's natural for him to think that it must be happening in a way beyond his control.

We don't have high octane nightmare fuel on this one.
Simply saying "ALL OF IT" will suffice.

I disagree. I think we should be allowed to post specific examples.

Considering that saying "ALL OF IT" is against the rules, add examples to the HONF sub-page.
I actually applaud the fact that part of the story of isaac is "told" by the simbolism around the items he gets during the journey. The items that you win in the Boss Room with NORMAL/REGULAR bosses for example are the Mom's Lipstick, Underwear and Shoes meaning some gender issues. The Belt and the Wooden Spoon means punishment to make him move faster and etc. However i find that The Pentagram is among the items that the boss room gives for normal/regular bosses. I was kinda expecting that item to be a drop from The Fallen or to be in the devil room. What does this item imply by being a common drop?? I can understand the gender issues + the coat wire for abortion + rotten and nutritious food. All centering around a theme of an abused child. But then comes this item and makes me believe that all that punishment was actually justified for being a devil spawn
