Is super-long distance hearing actually physically possible? Like, wouldn't the sound waves simply disperse into unintelligibility after a certain distance depending on the medium? Like the whole "Superman hears everything happening on the planet at once from a single location (in SPACE! Where there would be even less air to carry the sound!)".
