Is this really a trope? It's a term, but it kinda seems like the video game equivalent of a stock phrase... and I think that this might even be slightly chairsy.

It's not about the term "reduced mana cost", but a skill or accessory which provides such. Videogame mechanics like this are legitimately considered tropes.
