I would have laughed if this page had a real life section.

"May be caused by a Potty Emergency."

Apparently the person who added this thinks that needing to pee really badly causes erections? I've owned and operated a penis for 30 years, and I'm here to tell you that this is not the case. Unless I'm misunderstanding the context here.

Are all the "Ews" really necessary? It makes the article come across like it was written by a twelve-year-old with a poor grasp of sex. Not gonna delete them unless somebody says I can, but this childishness really does make it hard to read the page without groaning.

When did I become such a bleeding-heart? I'm the one who shouldn't be caring! Hide / Show Replies

I'm seconding this. For a lot of us, boys and girls here, this isn't new information. An information overview is always nice but this errs on "condescending instruction" territory here. It also isn't really...I think 'suitable' is the right word? Penile erection isn't sexual unless the situation is, and it's unfortunate that because of the association people think of erection as 'dirty' or something to shy away from (the 'Ew!'s in this case). I'd like to think this site is beyond that, maybe?

Also, the Most Fanfic Writers Are Female jab was similarly childish and is something I'd like to change as well, maybe? Because the point being made wasn't that most fanfic writers get this wrong, but that it is because the writers are female that they do. No, the reason why is because most fanfic writers who get this wrong are teenagers with no experience. The fact that a large proportion may be female just means that they have no experience with the body part being talked about. It would be nice if that point could be clarified, because I do find it slightly annoying (I've noticed that this kind of thing shows up a lot with the Most Fanfic Writers Are Female trope, and I don't think the intention was to insinuate that all female fanfic writers have the mind of 13-year-old girls?).
