I suggest adding Hilarity Ensues for potholes whenever something funny happens, whether dangerous in real life or not, but I don't have actual evidence since I'm in a hurry, so I'm not just editing the page right now. Anyone else agree?
God is God of truth, and thus of current webcomic example links. See also: Grammar Nazi Hedge TrimmerCan we add Tropes Are Tools? It gets potholed anytime there's a mention that "this is not always a bad thing" when explaining a trope.
Edited by Kopatropa You shouldn't know this.Is it considered correct form to remove these kinds of links? I'm about out of patience for people potholing Rule of Three because they've made the same joke three times in their own example, when it doesn't appear at all in the work they're supposed to be citing, but I don't want to begin culling them if this is something that requires group consensus first.
Edited by GoblinCipher Hide / Show RepliesI'd agree with removing that one.

God is God of truth, and thus of current webcomic example links. See also: Grammar Nazi Hedge TrimmerI think Cluster F-Bomb should be in the page, since it's often potholed to any usage of the F-word.
Number one fan of characters that appear only once and ultimately were a recurring character either in disguise or trying a new image.Internal links to other tropes pages can be interesting and useful. I remember one of the first pages I read as discussing a TV show under examples, and I had no idea who the character was they were talking to. But they included links in the entry that, when I hovered the mouse, included Big Bad, Magnificent Bastard, For The Evulz, and a couple others Evil tropes, indicating this guy was major trouble without excessive spoilers or making the entry too long or messy.
On the flip side, I was reading a page earlier, and under Tabletop RP Gs, a game including werewolves was used as an example. The submitter included the [[werewolves]] encoding every time the word was used. That's just silly. Is there a trope for digging a pothole?
...and I just realized I could have edited it. *facepalm*
In any case, just because a trope applies, doesn't mean it should be encoded automatically. The words of a trope can be used without the encoding, if a description is felt to be *that* necessary.
