Now that this has been split from No Celebrities Were Harmed, should Mock Cousteau be listed here as well? Some of the older works featuring expies of him were created when Jacques Cousteau was alive, but others have been created since his death. Mr. Alt Disney is listed on both pages, and some of the older works there are also from Walt Disney's own lifetime. I guess my question is, how long does someone have to be dead to be considered a historical figure rather than a celebrity and sorted accordingly?

The rule is once you are dead, you are historical simply because the only way people can know you is by going through your stuff and talking to people you knew.

I would say that that Mock Cousteau could be listed on both pages. Just like Mr Alt Disney is.
