There are WAY too many tropers who don't understand this trope. It's supposed to be a character who unintentionally, I repeat, UN. IN. TEN. TION. AL. LY. scares other characters. A character everyone in-universe is scared of IN GENERAL (whether the character means to be scary or not) is just The Dreaded. Some examples just don't make sense. I mean, Katz? Really?! At this point, I think we should change the name to something like "Accidental Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant" or something like that.

I deleted the entry for Prof. Edwardo Alvarado. No Nightmare Fuel involved. But the reactions of people to his act, which is nothing more or less than a cute and happy music show are AAA grade Nausea Fuel! I don't even go for that kind of music, but I still think it's unacceptable to brand him as some sort of scarecrow. Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory at its worst!

I've been looking for a particular trope, and this seems to be the closest I could find, but not quite it. I'm looking for what a character is called when they kill and/or cause widespread destruction, not out of malice or evil, but purely because they find it fun. However, they are too naïve and child-like to realize that what they are doing is wrong, and that their victims are anything more than toys. Adam from Honey I Blew Up The Kid would be an obvious example, and then there's Fat Majin Buu from DBZ and the Howlers from the Animorphs books.

What the heck is a NFSA who is conscious that he is an attendant for a nightmare, and typically introduces the viewer to it? The Crypt Keeper, Rod Serling, and the Ghost Host in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion are obvious examples. Guu from anime may be one too!

Still looking for information on My Imaginary Friend. Nothing from previous discussion, nothing on the forum, and nothing relevant from Google, Amazon, or anything else I've tried.
