I agree that the title is confusing, it requires that you are already thinking "the call of destiny" in your mind in order for you to know what it is talking about. Otherwise, it just sounds like it's about that a plot that occurred because somebody missed a telephone call.

I can easily see a dramatic scenario wherein Ichigo, upon having it made clear to her, that she is not The Chosen One, despite what happened to her friends, family, and, home, totally flips (while invoking Zero) and either: becomes a Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds or just plain goes rogue herself with her motive being either Put Them All Out of Their Misery or "I fought and sacrificed for this world, so it's mine!"
Ketchum's corollary to Clarke's Third Law: Any sufficiently advanced tactic is indistinguishable from blind luck.
I've always thought that the title is misleading just a bit, as it's from the point of view from the poor schmuck who should be out here, but most of these stories are not told from that character's POV. I'd suggest a name change to The Call Dialed The Wrong Number or some such.
