So the consensual Memetic Sex God isn't allowed, but Memetic Molester is? Double Standard ahoy!
Hide / Show RepliesNo, it only means that that other page wasn't brought up in TRS yet. Or that it's not so misused as the Sex God one - the Sex God page was cut mainly because of the misuse.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt's not a Double Standard because that one is specifically a sex double standard. And one can disagree on it being a "double standard" as well, just because these pages have some similarity doesn't mean they should be treated the same.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAm I the only person who thinks Woody's face looks really disturbing, not pervy?
Hide / Show RepliesIt's pervy in the way it's a "don't worry I'm *only* going to shank and then murder you" face.
I think the entire Ahsoka paragraph is out of place. This is a page for Memetic Molesters, not repeat offender victims of same... unless someone wants to start a page for that.
WUT?Isn't the Pro Wrestling section basically a subsection of Real Life in a page that says No Real Life Examples?
Hide / Show RepliesUnlike actual sports, professional wrestling is heavily scripted; it's more akin to Live-Action TV than Real Life.
- There's a reason Jello's "Pudding Face" campaign only lasted three commercials. The original was the worst. Not only does it take Uncanny Valley Up To Eleven, but that creepy smile and the way he and his daughter interacted and looked at each other, just creepy.
Putting this here in case we need it.
Don't make me destroy you. @ Castle SeriesI don't know, as I've no clue of where it's from or anything. Feel free to swap it with one of the entries on the Quotes tab.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. There seem to be a lot of examples here of characters who are actually, canonically rapists/molesters. If it's lightly implied in canon and then greatly exaggerated by fanon (like with Adachi from Persona 4), that probably counts, but if, for example, a character is described in canon as being able to "commit sexual harassment by sitting quietly in the next room", I think that's an indicator that there's nothing "memetic" about their molester status.
Anyway, is there any point in my doing some cleanup, or will it all get added back within a few days anyhow?
Hide / Show RepliesIt looks like there are three categories of characters appearing on this page:
(1) Actual canon sex-offenders. Kind of the character version of Rape as Comedy or Rape as Drama.
(2) Characters who are described by the canon as having an extreme proclivity for sexual assault (like Greebo in your example).
(3) Characters whose tendency to commit sexual assault is exaggerated by the fandom.
Of course, (3) is what this page is about. The problem is that I'm sure some characters in (2) and possibly even (1) also fall into (3).
It's probably a good idea to shift characters to the appropriate page, if one exists, before pruning this one. Problem is, I'm not sure that there is an appropriate page for all examples. There are a lot of pages which cover this sort of thing, such as Chivalrous Pervert, Lovable Sex Maniac and Dirty Old Man, but they aren't comprehensive AFAICS. I would suggest that somebody look into creating an overarching "canonical perverts" page and shifting examples there before cleaning this one up (and adding the appropriate links/explanation/etc).
Edited by SparrowhawkThis quote appears to be a non-example. It's not an overt in-work pervert but an audience reaction. Moving to discussion.
what the hell is with the new pic? what happened to Pyramid Head?
Tell Me A Lie... And Say That You Won't Go... Hide / Show RepliesPersona-raepface is fine too.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!
So under what category should Charlie from Hazbin Hotel go under? Western animation, web animation, or web original?
Unless you've been living under a rock this month, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
