(Please note: I read an abridged version of Gulliver's Travels several years ago, so these estimates may be wildly off.)
Hm. Picture us as the size of a Brobdingnagian. This means Gulliver is about what, two inches high? The average man is something like 68 inches, so Gulliver is 1/32th of us. Assuming the same difference is true for Lilliputians to Gulliver, Brobdingnagians would see them as 1/16th of an inch tall. So: about as visible as ants, and probably unable to communicate.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Well, if Wikipedia is to be followed, the size ratios are 11/1-12/1 for Brobdingnagians to Gulliver and Gulliver to Lilliputians.

Headscratcher: what would happen if the Lilliputians made contact with the Brobdingnagians? Would they even be aware of each other?
