I do like the "self demonstrating article" on the main page, but since there is also a Laconic page for the Laconic Wiki page, I think it would be beneficial to include some more information. For example, I think the origin of the term "Laconic" would add a lot to the page. After all, Everything is Better with Spartans.
For administroderators: "in this link" is verbose; "here" suffices.
Hide/Show RepliesWhat is the point of the Laconic wiki? Just curious how it came to be.
Hide/Show RepliesTechnical issue that needs to be resolved:
If you go to The Laconic page for 'troper', and in the Laconic Wiki index in the bottom click the next link in line it's Troper Tales. This takes you to a page saying Troper Tales are no longer kept on this wiki. Thus breaking the index up if you are working your way down the index alphabetically. You can't skip the Troper Tales page to get to the next one down.
Noob question: is there a fixed size limit for Laconic entries?
Hide/Show RepliesNot as far as I know, but they're generally supposed to be as short as you can manage. This usually means one line, tops.
I'll suggest: "If you can't squeeze it into one line, don't bother"
So...how do you add new Laconics? I want to add one to the Woody Woodpecker page, please.
Go to the mainspace page, and change "/Main/" in the page's URL to "/Laconic/", press Enter, edit the page and save it. It will be automatically indexed here. :)
The original idea was mine. :) As for its popularity, see for yourself. %)
