I'm not sure if this trope applies with Butch (Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes)

Especially if we consider that is a good guy and this trope applies only villains.

I think Buck is still a good example. He is on the good guys's side, sure, but he's still portrayed as a menacing, fearsome fighter.
