Okay, so I've never watched Supernatural, but I've seen situations like this in lots of fandoms, and it looks to me like the case might be that the female characters are hated, not for being women, but for being badly written, misogynistic portrayals of women. In which case, that's really not hypocrisy and not a real example. Any Supernatrual fans around who could workout whether this is a valid example or not?
Edit: On second thought, never mind. I don't know why I thought bashing of a misogynistic portrayal of a woman couldn't also be misogynistic. I still don't know about that fandom, but now I think this is kind of a stupid question.
