Several of these aren't examples of "guns not really working that way". You can hold a gun sideways and shoot it. It's pointless, but it can be done. You can fire two pistols at once (reloading will be awkward, recoil may or may not be an issue). You can hit a thrown coin with a bullet. You can shoot a gun out of someone's hand. These latter two are difficult, but nothing about the ways guns, physics or bullets work prevents it from happening. Using a non-trademarked name for a gun in no way conflicts with a realistic portrayal of that gun.

Index turned into a supertrope per TRS.

What? No trope about guns not working in vacuum when they work perfectly well due to gunpowder, black or smokeless, containing both oxidizer and fuel? The episode of "Firefly", "Our Mrs. Reynolds", has this and a few other Guns DO Not Work That Way tropes. In literature, Ben Bova's "RED Planet" (set on a Soviet dominated Mars) has pistols encased in "gas jackets" so they'll work in vacuum or the thin atmosphere of Mars.

Well, feel free to put such a trope in YKTTW.
