Has nobody ever noticed that the helmet only protects the TOP of your head, despite the fact that it's almost physically impossible for a human to land crown-down? Better if it were something more akin to wrestling headgear to prevent front or rear trauma..

The Can't Get Away with Nuthin' mention reminded me of the Law of Inverse Fertility. I'm only saddened that I can't think of a good way to pothole a link to But I Wore A Helmet. :-D
Can anyone who knows the series help explain why this example fits the trope, or why it doesn't?
