Is a real life example recounted in an autobiography acceptable? In the case I have in mind, it's actually a subversion—the narrator expects this trope, but when he meets the girl in real life, she is not at all sexy.

There was this duplicate page on the cut list. If any of the examples are new, here are some to sort through.

    Film
  • American Pie has this with a foreign exchange student who is also bisexual.

    Literature
  • The Star Wars Expanded Universe is full of this. Twi'leks, Zeltrons, and Falleen make up the holy trinity of Star Wars fetishes, and it shows in the Expanded Universe.
  • Sherman Alexie loves to make fun of this trope. One of his characters was married to a white woman until the interracial possibilities of a mixed black/Japanese man left her head spinning.

    Live Action TV
  • Maggie likes that Joel is ethnic. Ed gets the Ho Yay version with a German clock-maker, as much as there was Ho Yay for Ed.

    Manga and Anime
  • In Digimon season 2, a Chinese boy refers to Hikari as "the Japanese girl" and wants to ask her out.

    Music
  • Any hip hop video will have a lot of white women.

    Western Animation

Most of them aren't very clear. For instance, does the Digimon character refer to her as 'the Japanese girl' because Japanese girls are sexy or because it's a simple way of identifying her character?

I regularly scrub out examples akin to the Star Wars AU one above. This page was once a mess of "X race/nationality is hot and Y is a member of it,"  *

basically making this yet another useless subjective.

To sum up, I don't see anything salvageable in the new examples.
